Mothers of Competitors...

If you're a mother preparing your daughter:

  • Your fairly new to pageantry and you're in information overwhelm, or
  • You've been doing pageants for a while and you're not getting the results you want

Who you are

As a mother, you want your daughter to be comfortable speaking to a crowd of hundreds as well as in one-on-one interview situations. Instilling a positive body image and self-confidence in your child are high priorities to you.  Having a coach identify her strengths allows you to guide her through the maze of choices she will encounter as she matures into adulthood.    Most importantly, you want her to truly appreciate her individuality and know how special a gift she is to the world. Participating in a pageant is a fun way for the two of you to create memories and spend time together while exploring all the opportunities that come your way through pageantry.

What your issues tend to be

You want to make sure you give your daughter every opportunity to be her best at the pageant. The last thing you want to have happen is to show up at the pageant and feel completely unprepared because you didn't know what to expect. You are a planner.

Because you're mom, your daughter may not be as open to your instruction as she would be to another person.  Even if you've told her the same thing a hundred times, all of a sudden it just makes sense coming from someone else.

You are protective of your daughter. Anyone who works with her must be of strong moral character and respectful towards both of you. The coach needs to work with your daughter using language and examples that she can relate to. The whole process should be enjoyable and about building her up.

Because you have a limited amount of time, you don't want to waste hours hunting for resources and reinventing the wheel. You want your pageant preparation time to be focused, productive, and valuable.

You're a responsible person who takes action, but you need someone to act as your compass to point in the direction best for you.

What you need most right now

  • Honest feedback and trustworthy pageant preparation tips from an experienced reputable source who can help you with your headshots, wardrobe, modeling, mental attitude, hair, makeup, fitness, talent and interview skills.
  • Checklists to ensure no important deadlines or details fall through the cracks.
  • A personalized and clearly defined plan that will keep you organized and on track to avoid feeling anxious and panicked at the last minute.
  • You need a trusted confidante and supportive accountability partner who will hold you to your word (when you say you're going to do something you do it), encourage you when you feel doubt and fear, reveal things about you that you don't see in yourself, and celebrate your successes.
